These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Budi Finance website at budifinanc.biz and your participation in any Budi Finance educational programme. By using this website or registering for a programme, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. For legal enquiries, write to [email protected].
1. Definitions
- "Budi Finance" refers to the financial education business operating at 18 Jalan Bangsar, 59200 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
- "We", "us", "our" refers to Budi Finance.
- "You", "participant", "user" refers to the individual accessing the website or enrolling in a programme.
- "Programme" refers to any educational engagement offered by Budi Finance, including the Wills and Wasiyyah Awareness Session, the Amanah Saham Navigator Course, and the Life-Stage Financial Overhaul Programme.
- "Content" refers to all educational materials, worksheets, session notes, and resources provided as part of a Programme.
- "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or registering for a Programme, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter this Agreement, and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you are registering on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
3. Nature of Service
Budi Finance provides financial education — not financial advice, investment advice, or legal counsel. The content delivered through our Programmes is intended to improve financial understanding and awareness. Nothing presented in any Programme should be construed as a recommendation to take any specific financial action.
Participants are encouraged to consult a licensed financial planner, solicitor, or other relevant professional before making significant financial decisions.
4. Programme Enrolment
Enrolment in a Programme is confirmed upon receipt of payment in full. We reserve the right to limit cohort sizes to maintain the quality of facilitation. Where a Programme is fully subscribed, we will offer placement on a waiting list or in a future session.
Programme schedules and session formats are communicated at the time of registration. Minor adjustments to scheduling may be necessary and will be communicated with reasonable notice.
5. Payment Terms
Programme fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of all session materials and tools specified in the Programme description. Fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of any Programme.
Accepted payment methods are communicated during the registration process. Budi Finance does not store payment card or banking details.
Refund policy: Cancellation requests received more than 7 calendar days before the first session will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days of the first session will receive a 50% refund. No refund is available after a Programme has commenced, except at our discretion in the event of exceptional personal circumstances.
6. Participant Responsibilities
As a participant or website user, you agree to:
- Engage with Programme content respectfully and in good faith.
- Not record, reproduce, or distribute session content without prior written permission from Budi Finance.
- Provide accurate information during registration and programme participation.
- Use the website and its content for lawful purposes only.
- Not attempt to circumvent, damage, or interfere with the website or its security.
7. Intellectual Property
All Programme materials, worksheets, session recordings (where applicable), website content, and documentation created by Budi Finance remain the intellectual property of Budi Finance. Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use these materials for their own private use.
Materials may not be reproduced, shared commercially, or distributed to third parties without our written consent.
8. Confidentiality in Sessions
Sessions may include small group settings where participants share personal information. All participants and facilitators are expected to treat information disclosed during sessions as confidential. Budi Finance facilitators will not share participant disclosures outside the session context without consent, except where required by law.
9. Disclaimers
Programmes and website content are provided for educational purposes and are delivered in good faith based on information current at the time of preparation. We make no representations as to the completeness, accuracy, or suitability of the content for any specific individual's financial situation.
Financial regulations, fund structures, and estate laws may change. Participants are responsible for verifying the current applicability of any information before acting on it.
Budi Finance is not a licensed financial advisor under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 or the Financial Services Act 2013. Nothing in our Programmes constitutes regulated financial advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Budi Finance shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from participation in a Programme or use of the website, including but not limited to financial losses resulting from decisions made following Programme participation.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by the participant for the relevant Programme.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to withdraw enrolment from any participant who engages in conduct that disrupts the Programme or is disrespectful to other participants or facilitators, without refund.
You may withdraw from a Programme at any time subject to the refund policy described in Section 5.
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we ask that you first contact us directly at [email protected] to attempt resolution informally. We will respond within 14 days.
If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia and governed by Malaysian law.
13. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Budi Finance regarding the subject matter herein.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of future enforcement rights.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms to any third party without our written consent.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of our website or participation in Programmes after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
